THE IDEA

When we started our clothing line in 1998, no one offered fashionable Christian t shirts for teen girls. Everything was big baggy traditional style mens t-shirts. They typically had a huge design on the front and were by no means feminine. There was a huge niche to be filled - cool Christian t shirts designs for teenage girls. Thus began the Backwardfish clothing line.

OUR STYLE

Backwardfish does not offer big baggy boxy traditional style mens t shirts. We only offer cool feminine cut garments designed to fit teen girls. All of our Christian t shirts are made of the best possible fabrics - typically 100% cotton fine combed jersey cotton. Our Christian designs are girly and subtle. Our goal is to balance positive Christian messages with fashionable 'trendy' / cool styles. We also accent our line with many different Christian teen themed accessories such as belts, hats, bags, and jewelry. We change as the trends change. We typically only keep our garments for one season and reintroduce an entirely new cool line of t shirt, and clothing designs every spring.

OUR BUSINESS

Our simple and fun web-site allows customers from all over the world to purchase Christian teen t-shirts designs 24 hours a day from the convenience of their own home with a credit card. We normally ship orders the same day in which they are received. Second, customers can purchase our cool Christian t shirts at one of the many Christian youth events that we attend. Backwardfish attends many Christian festivals and youth events as a product vendor in which we sell our Christian t shirts directly to customers on the spot.

OUR MINISTRY

Our business is not just simply about selling t shirts, and clothing. Our Christian t shirts are a means to an end for us. Doing this allows us to make a reasonable living while also spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in our own very personal way. We take each product we design very seriously and hope that every single t shirt we sell make a positive difference in someone's day. It is our hope that our designs or t shirts will allow someone to minister to another and simply offer an encouraging word. Over the years we have received many stories from girls all over the world telling us how much they appreciate what we do and what we stand for in the fashion community.
